Peizhong Mao, MD, PhD

Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor

Dr. Mao earned his MD from Hebei Medical University TCM College in 1985. In 1988, he earned a Master's in Medicine (Physiology/Endocrinology) from Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He earned his PhD in Molecular Biology from Hokkaido University School of Medicine in 1999. After completing his post-doctoral training at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, he joined Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) as a molecular researcher/faculty for 15 years.

Dr. Mao has extensive experience in the clinic and research fields, specializing in neurobiology, endocrinology, and cancer biology. He has published many scientific papers and book chapters, and seen patients for more than 30 years. He combines his knowledge of both Western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine to create personalized herbal formulas (herbal teas) to treat a wide variety of diseases and illnesses.

Recently, he has been working at Wing Ming Herbs in Portland, Oregon. In 2019, Dr. Mao saw over 1800 patients and treated a wide range of diseases: many types of cancers, chronic kidney diseases, mental health, flu/colds, pain, addiction, neurodegenerative diseases (including multiple sclerosis, dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's), infertility, menopause, hypertension, heart problems, lung diseases (pneumonia, fibrosis), diabetes, digestive problems, migraines, stroke, skin diseases (acne, eczema, psoriasis, shingles), and much more.

Mingyue Liu, MD, PhD, DACM, MAcOM, LMT

Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Medical Massage Therapist

Dr. Liu earned her MD from Tianjin Medical University in 1989 and practiced as an internal medicine physician. She earned her PhD in Pharmacology from Hokkaido University School of Medicine. After completing her post-doctoral training at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, she joined Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) as a researcher for 15 years.

In 2017, she graduated from University of Western States to become a Licensed Massage Therapist. In 2022, she graduated from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine with Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) and Master's in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAcOM) degrees.

She has extensive experience in the clinic and research fields, with many published scientific papers and book chapters, and seen patients for more than 30 years.

She specializes in relaxation, deep tissue, prenatal, sports, and medical massage. She is also an expert in myofascial release, trigger point, cupping, gua sha, tui na, shiatsu, facial massage, and reflexology.
